Morning: Arrive in Kasol. Settle into a riverside camp.
Afternoon: Visit the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara and soak in the hot springs to relax your muscles after the long journey.
Evening: Walk to Chalal Village (30 mins) for a quiet sunset.
Dinner: Eat at Moon Dance Cafe in Kasol.
The Trip: Take a 1-hour taxi to the Malana Gate, followed by a 1.5-hour trek to the village.
The Experience: Malana is one of the oldest democracies in the world. The locals consider themselves descendants of Alexander the Great.
Important Rule: Do not touch anything or anyone in Malana. They have strict taboos and you can be fined for touching their temple or walls.
Evening: Return to Kasol for the night.
Morning: Take a taxi to Barshaini (the starting point for the trek).
The Trek: A 4-6 hour hike through lush forests, passing waterfalls and the serpent-shaped "Rudra Nag" waterfall.
The Reward: Reach the top of Kheerganga. It is a spiritual site where Lord Shiva is said to have meditated.
Evening: Soak in the natural hot springs at the very top of the mountain while looking at snow-capped peaks. Stay overnight in a basic hilltop tent/cabin.
Morning: Watch the sunrise over the Himalayas from Kheerganga. Start your descent back to Barshaini.
Afternoon: Instead of going back to Kasol, take a short 20-minute taxi from Barshaini to Tosh Village.
Evening: Tosh is quieter and has a much better view of the glacier. Relax at Pink Floyd Cafe or Starlight Cafe. Stay overnight in Tosh.
Morning: Hike to the Tosh Waterfall (30 mins from the village). It’s a peaceful spot for photos and breakfast.
Afternoon: Head back down to Kasol for some last-minute shopping (hemp products/souvenirs).
Evening: Catch your evening Volvo bus from the Kasol bus stand back toward Delhi or Chandigarh.
