Missouri has become a second home to us, a place of frequent pilgrimages and deepening roots since my sister moved to the Show-Me State. Over the years, we’ve watched our families grow side-by-side during these visits, turning a simple travel destination into a treasure trove of shared milestones and "good-for-the-soul" memories.
Our heart is firmly planted in St. Charles. There is something incredibly special about the historic charm of its cobblestone streets and the way the Missouri River sets the stage for a slow, intentional pace of life. Our trips have developed their own cherished traditions; a visit to the St. Louis Zoo has beome a staple for our growing families.
Coming toward the end of the year is particularly magical. The Christmas and New Year vibes in my sisters house are unmatched, wrapping our family gatherings in a festive warmth that stays with us long after we leave.
Of course, what truly makes Missouri feel like home isn't just the scenery; it’s the people. Most of our trips are never complete without spending time with my brother-in-law Karthik’s uncle and aunt. We are incredibly fond of them, and their warmth and hospitality are the secret ingredients that make every Missouri visit feel like a true homecoming.
Missouri reminds us that the best travel isn't just about where you go, but who you’re with when you get there.
