WEST VIRGINIA
WEST VIRGINIA
Starting bright and early from Maryland, my family and my sister’s family hit the road for a scenic day trip across state lines into the historic mountains of West Virginia. Upon arriving at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, everyone spent the time exploring the preserved nineteenth-century streets, visiting John Brown's Fort, and taking in the sweeping river views where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet before enjoying a smooth drive back home to Maryland by late afternoon.
